Mohave Bronze is quarried in Espirito Santo, Brazil. Milky white veins, along with areas of sapphire in a rich bronze overall tone, make this a truly exquisite stone. Due to the qualities of the stone, the slabs are book-matched, in which slab one and slab two will be cut and polished to create a mirror image of each other. These are then kept in sequence, which allows for a consistent flow in pattern. This exotic granite is hand-worked to fill in any natural pits, cracks or fissures that may exist. A single-head polishing machine is used to polish one slab at a time. This old method of polishing is much slower than the typical polishing process, but it is the only way to achieve the best finish for this stone. This will limit the production capacity for Mohave Bronze. It is possible for some of the smaller, more minute pits, to reopen during other finishing stages. However, this will not detract from the overall quality or appearance of the stone. Finally, a mesh backing is adhered to the back of the stone to ensure safety during handling and fabricating.
