Lagos Blue is quarried from a pit quarry in Portugal. The top portions of this quarry supply Lagos Gold, where the stone has been oxidized causing it to turn gold. Lagos Gold’s production is limited to only 12”x12” tiles because it is produced from a small portion of the quarry, whereas Lagos Blue is the primary product in this quarry. Because of this, block sizes and production will be much higher. One of the unique characteristics of this limestone is the existence of some small shells and fossils that may appear throughout the tile or slabs. It is important to note that this limestone is not suitable for use in wet area applications such as showers, steam showers or near swimming pools. There can be noticeable variances between pieces, so it is important and

recommended that a range of this product be viewed before finalizing a purchase.
