There were so many exceptional new products at Arizona Tile in 2024 that a recap is well-deserved! Be it marble, quartzite, porcelain, or quartz, this past year presented so many stone and tile options to love.

Designing a space isn’t always the easiest thing: from choosing colors that inspire you, to patterns that delight you, and practical placement, there is a lot to consider. That’s why at Arizona Tile, we like adding to our extensive inventory so you can find just what you’re looking for.

Marble

Marble holds a high aesthetic value and its historic uses exude an elegance and sophistication that’s hard to parallel. Since ancient times, marble has been a display of wealth and beauty, especially because of its difficult quarrying process. While it’s far more accessible today, thanks to modern techniques and distribution channels, marble still holds great value in its beauty. With that said, perhaps you simply prefer marble in your design because of aesthetic preferences or the luxurious feel it wraps you in.

This year, we presented to you Dolomite White and Split. While dolomite is actually a natural stone of its own, it is sometimes referred to as “hard marble.” One of the only downfalls of marble is that its composition is more porous than other natural stones. Some varieties are more dense than others, but, in general, it’s softer and requires more care. Dolomite can negate some of the worry as it presents like marble but is a more dense stone. Dolomite White comes in eight different sizes; it is honed, multi-finished, or polished; and it can be used residentially for interior floors and walls, exterior cladding, around fireplaces, and shower walls and floors (certain selections). This stone has subtle white, linear veining that gracefully accentuates its white background, giving it an elegant appeal.

Split is another natural stone product available in limestone, marble, and travertine. Split creates a more rustic appearance than the sleek slabs and tile we are used to and can truly highlight an area. Its 4” x 16” sections create an enticing appearance and can be used commercially and residentially, on interior walls, and even on shower walls. It can also be used on exterior walls, but installers must be mindful of freezing/thawing conditions as some selections don’t do well in that environment.

Quartz

Quartz has been a very popular countertop surface, and rightfully so: it is heat resistant, stain resistant, chip resistant, non-porous, easy to maintain, and appropriate for a high-traffic space. Kitchen countertops get lots of use, so this surface truly needs to be durable, and quartz is. Quartz differs from our other slab options because it is a fabricated surface. Though it consists of up to 94% quartz, the hardest mineral in nature, it is then mixed with technologically advanced polymers. This man-made component takes away its porosity and makes it ultra-durable—sounds like a win-win!

This year, we added Cotton to our Della Terra® Quartz collection. Cotton is a pure white quartz that offers a clean look and the versatility of endless design combinations. Its crisp, clean attributes will complement any space.

Quartzite

We just talked about quartz and how it is a fabricated surface, but quartzite is its natural stone counterpart—and we brought several new options to our showroom this year! Quartzite slabs make luxurious countertops and are renowned for beauty and exceptional durability.

From understated elegance to making a bold statement, our quartzite slabs are second to none. This year we presented many:

  • Bluegrass – If you want design element unlike anyone else’s, this is your stone. This polished quartzite offers a plethora of rich, organic colors such as the predominately green color which comes from the mineral Fuchsite as well as cream, red, pink, purple, orange, gold, brown and black..
  • Poplar White and Poplar White Satin – This stunning cream and grey-toned stone has gold veining throughout. It presents a soft, yet radiant appearance. The appearance of Poplar White Satin varies because it has a satin, not glossy, finish achieved by brushing the stone with wire brushes (vs. polishing pads, which are used to create a polished finish).

Perlato Taj and Perlato Taj Satin – This stone graces us with a creamy beige, warm gold, and soft grey tones. Its versatility in color makes it an ideal stone for traditional design and contemporary space. Again, the satin version is achieved by brushing the stone with wire brushes, thus eliminating the glossy finish.

Porcelain & Ceramic

Though the terms “porcelain” and “ceramic” are often used interchangeably, they have their differences. While both are very durable and require little maintenance, porcelain is a non-porous surface making it water-resistant and resistant to bacteria and mold growth. Porcelain and ceramic products are extremely versatile and can be used from floors to walls, in high-traffic areas, and in commercial or residential settings.

This year, we released four new porcelain products that you are sure to love:

  • Canyon – Made to mimic slate, this porcelain tile comes in four colors and six sizes, thus making it very versatile. It also includes an R11 Anti-Slip Finish on some selections, which has a gripped surface for wet or damp spaces that is visually undetectable.
  • Arte – This porcelain dazzles with its glazed finish and makes the perfect subway tile—a popular style trend since the early 1900s. In four soft, neutral colors and three sizes, there’s something for every design preference.
  • Invictus Vein Cut – Curated to resemble vein cut travertine, this porcelain tile provides an earthy aesthetic without the maintenance of natural stone. There are so many options here: matte, polished, and R11 Anti-Slip Finish, as well as a Rigato textured finish; six sizes; and four colors. Happy designing!
  • Glam – This is the porcelain you need to pair with any project. Glam can steal the show on its own or be paired with other tile. Its seven colors, two finishes, slightly undulated texture, and organic variations offer numerous installation options.

Marvel – Six colors, eight sizes, two finishes… you will marvel at Marvel with its prestigious marble look. Its pure colors, natural veins, intense shades, and transparent clouding will add so many benefits to your design, commercially and residentially.
