If you live in the San Marcos area, stop in to see our store. Michele Sherritt, one of our Showroom Consultants, took some time with us to share the designs that are trending in their area and how the staff at San Marcos Arizona Tile goes the extra mile for their customers every time.
Tell us a little bit about your Arizona Tile branch and what sets you apart from other tile stores in your area.
Our 2800 SF San Marcos location is proud to be one of the first showrooms Arizona Tile opened. Our customer service is legendary as being the best in town. We do a great job keeping our displays current and showing off our new materials with inspiring displays and concept boards so our customers can find the right products. Our showroom has many installations to give the homeowner a good feel for how the tiles would look installed on their floors, counters and wall.
We are proud of our friendly, helpful staff that has a great rapport with homeowners and contractors alike. We continue our tradition of excellent service with the new customers that walk in our doors for the first time. Our employees have an outstanding appreciation of teamwork, and our showroom consultants have exceptional design sensibilities that they use to help our customers choose the surfaces that match their personalities and needs. Our Branch Manager, Tony, is often seen patiently consulting with homeowners and installers alike when they have questions about installation methods and options.
What type of product trends have you noticed lately within your area?
We are seeing the trend moving into more cool and neutral tones – gray, cream, taupe, brown and less gold. The Eclipse porcelain tile series is getting a lot of attention as well as Misingi porcelain tiles with digital print technology for tile that looks like wood. Metalwood porcelain tile [featured right], Watercolors Stacked Glass tile, and 3D Stack Stone tiles in both honed and split face finish are also widely-requested. The Regis porcelain tile series is very popular with its variety of sizes and pattern options. Everyone loves the H Line ceramic series especially the unique 4×16 size.
Porcelain tile has become even more popular, especially with a polished finish, such as the Nu Travertine and the Marmol series.
For kitchen countertops, we’ve noticed that our customers seem to prefer granite countertops in polished or leather finish before any other option. Clients are using exotic granite selections for the island with a solid color throughout the rest of the kitchen. White has been a trend recently, along with light cream granite or quartz. Despite the granite preference, we have seen marble countertops also becoming popular for kitchens.
Bathroom vanity tops on the other hand range from white, cream or brown marble to cream or gray travertine in either cross or vein cut. Our customers are also requesting the mixing of various materials, such as glass and stone, which has led to a great response to our new Soh Glass/Stone Stack series. For flooring, customers often want to use rectified porcelain tiles with minimal grout joints, resulting in a nearly seamless installation
What kind of special orders does your store see?
We see a lot of special orders in the Skylights and Anna Cabo glass lines.
Has anyone in your store received an excellent customer service recommendation from any customers?
Staff members regularly receive rave reviews. Tony, Branch Manager, goes the extra mile to keep customers happy, and satisfied with their Arizona Tile experience. Julianna and Michele in the showroom are regularly praised for their patience in determining their customers’ needs as well as coming up with wonderful design ideas.
Local installers in the area are very comfortable with telling their customers “just go to Arizona Tile and have Julianna or Michele help you with all your choices and design.” Frequently, local Interior Designers come in with their clients to choose the materials for their jobs. They love that our material is available in a timely manner and knowing that Arizona Tile stands behind the products. They know their clients will have a quality tile or stone that will stand the test of time.
Another frequent kudos comes from customers who are adding on to existing tile and perhaps the tile is discontinued or unavailable. Our staff prides themselves with coming up with creative options so that often the existing tile does not have to be torn out.
Be sure to stop by and say hello to Tony, Julianna and Michele at the best San Marcos, Ca tile store in town and let them help you find the perfect tile or stone to suit any project.
