But once all these elements come together, you’re left with a spectacular space that you and your family can enjoy for a lifetime. Our tile and slab products not only offer timeless beauty but are built to stand the test of time, bringing long-lasting quality to your home.
What’s Her Passion?
We all have our own unique interests, and for Karli, it’s her passion for design. Karli found herself entering the design world when she and her husband took on the task of remodeling their 18-year-old home. They entered the project without prior experience in the design or renovation realm, yet hit the ground running and became their own general contractors.
Fast forward a few years, and Karli and her husband began the exciting process of designing their new-build home. Kitchens truly are the heart of the home and the most essential room. Not only do we spend time there prepping our meals and cooking, but it’s common for this space to morph into a gathering area. With these ideas in mind, Karli knew this was where her main focus would be. She wanted the space to be “functional and beautiful,” which led her to Arizona Tile where she fell in love with Taj Mahal quartzite and Belvedere granite.
When furthering her projects and building the pantry of her dreams, Karli knew right where to go—back to Arizona Tile! Her experience with us is what we hope for everyone: exceptional. Karli shared that her overall experience was nothing short of amazing, with our knowledgeable team offering invaluable support and accommodating her every need.

The Products
At Arizona Tile, we take pride in offering high-quality, durable products that suit a wide range of styles and tastes. We truly have stone slab and tile products for any aesthetic and preference. For Karli, her design style is “inspired by anything Japandi or Wabi-Sabi related, with touches of transitional and modern European.” However, she says she gets inspiration from everywhere and has multiple styles in her home. She fell in love with Taj Mahal, but when she gazed upon Belvedere, she knew she had to have that too; thus creating her two-tone kitchen aesthetic. She also carried Taj Mahal into her pantry, creating a seamless flow between the two spaces.
When you think about a pantry, they don’t have to be small nooks that lack an appealing aesthetic: they can be large, functional, and radiant. For more pantry ideas and inspiration, take a look at our Kitchen Pantry Tile Design Ideas and Walk-In Kitchen Pantry Ideas.

Now, let’s delve into the products themselves.
Taj Mahal Quartzite
Taj Mahal quartzite, sourced from Brazil, is a natural stone prized for its durability and resemblance to Italian Calacatta marble. Unlike marble, however, it’s significantly harder and more resistant to etching or scratching from everyday kitchen use. This stunning stone has a white background that softly displays beige and golden hues. Since it is a natural stone, veining and color disbursements are unique to each slab, creating a one-of-a-kind appearance. We offer Taj Mahal in both polished and satin finishes. For her project, Karli chose the satin finish, which boasts a subtle matte appearance and a softer, less reflective quality. In contrast, the polished finish features a glossy surface that shines brightly and beautifully reflects light. Choosing one or the other for a countertop is solely a matter of preference.
Given Karli’s love for this stone, you can see it throughout her kitchen and pantry surfaces.

Belvedere Granite
Belvedere granite is quarried from bedrock in Namibia. It presents a deep, rich background and is graced with ribbons of gold and white. Over millions of years, water has penetrated deep into this stone through cracks and fissures, causing the iron and other minerals to oxidize. Through this process, we gain the rich, vibrant gold tones that display across this stone. Like other natural stones, these tones and disbursements will vary from slab to slab.
Similar to Taj Mahal, Belvedere granite is available in both polished and satin finishes.
When Karli saw Belvedere Satin, it was love at first sight. She knew its rich, deep hues would create a sophisticated look in her kitchen’s surrounding countertops and backsplash.
Understanding the difference between quartzite and granite can help make product decisions easier. While both are natural stones, thus meaning they’re both porous materials that require routine sealing, they each offer a unique aesthetic and features.
