DCOF Rating (See Tech Specs Tab) is a measurement of a tiles frictional resistance. It is the specifier’s responsibility to ensure the chosen tile is appropriate for each interior and exterior application.
The Tru Marmi Series is a rectified glazed porcelain. Digital print technology creates some of the same characteristics as some of the most sought-after natural stones, including marble. Because this material is a porcelain product, maintenance risks involved with actual stone are eliminated. There will be noticeable variations in color and movement between pieces. Therefore, it is important and recommended that a range of this product be viewed before finalizing a purchase.
Piece to piece variation in shade or color is inherent in all fired clay products; therefore, it is recommended to mix tiles from several boxes at a time during installation to achieve the best range of color. When mixing sizes within a series, shade, texture and calibration differences should be expected. This series is suitable for residential and commercial applications.
Grout release is recommended for the polished finish, prior to grouting so grout powders do not fill pores in the tile surface, which can attract dirt when walked upon. It is recommended to use a coordinating grout color for all polished porcelain, contrasting grout colors are not recommended. For proper bonding, medium bed mortar should be used when installing tiles with a dimensional length greater than 15 inches, and rectangular shape and plank tile, per industry standards. Proper thinset coverage is also necessary, and in some cases, back buttering of tile may be required.
