DCOF Rating (See Tech Specs Tab) is a measurement of a tiles frictional resistance. It is the specifier’s responsibility to ensure the chosen tile is appropriate for each interior and exterior application.
Riggiole is an Italian made rectified color body porcelain. It features a sophisticated, contrasting black and white pattern with a slightly worn effect that highlights the aged look. Riggiole is a term in the Neapolitan dialect meaning “tile” or “ceramic brick”, often with a majolica glaze and decorated by hand, typical of the Sorrento and Amalfi areas, used on both floors and walls. The black and white geometric patterns are able to evoke the passage of time, creating an abstraction, in which the past blends with the present, faithfully transmitting the traditional art of decoration and a perfectly balanced aesthetic. The Riggiole Bianco Mix offers 17 different patterns. Each box of 12 × 12 (14 pc/box) and 36 × 36 (2 pc/box) will have a random mix of patterns. Sold in full box quantities only.
Because this material is a porcelain product, minimal maintenance is required. There can be noticeable variances between pieces, so it is important and recommended that a range of this product be viewed before finalizing a purchase. Piece to piece variation in shade or color are inherent in all fired clay products; therefore, it is recommended to mix tiles from several boxes at a time during installation to achieve the best range of color. This series is suitable for residential and commercial applications.
For proper bonding, LHT/LFT mortar for large format and heavy tiles should be used when installing tiles with a dimensional length greater than 15 inches and rectangular shape and plank tile, per industry standards. Proper thinset coverage is also necessary, and in some cases, back buttering of tile may be required.
