The Split 4 × 16 is available in various materials and versatile colors and offers a relief design for vertical installations. The benefit of the rectangular shape allows for several layout options. Please note, while the Atlantic Grey and Jade can be installed on exterior surfaces, do not install in freeze/thaw conditions. There can be noticeable variances between pieces, so it is important and recommended that a range of this product be viewed before finalizing a purchase. Split 4 × 16 tiles are intended to be installed closely together, without a grout joint, so grouting is not recommended
Piece to piece variation in shade or color are inherent in all natural stone products; therefore, when installing natural stone tile, it is recommended to mix tiles from several boxes at a time during installation to achieve the best range of color. As a natural stone product, it is recommended that this be sealed to extend its longevity.
For proper bonding LFT/LHT mortar for large format and heavy tiles should be used when installing tiles with dimensional length greater than 15 in. and rectangular shape and plank tile per industry standards. Proper thinset coverage is also necessary and in some cases back buttering of the tile may be required.
