Arizona Tile recently attended the Sherwin Williams ColorMix 2024 Forecast which is an annual event that is attended by design professionals, architects, and painters for both commercial and residential properties; design students, and design instructors.
ColorMix “explores the rising influences and movements shaping tomorrow’s designs through a curated collection of color”. The presentation displayed how we can expect to see this curated color collection in both interior and exterior color trends for 2024.
Since you probably love all things design like we do or are researching 2024 color trends for your home or client project (or both!), we wanted to share some of our favorite colors from different color palettes that were presented at this year’s event.
Below, we’ll recap Sherwin Williams’ 2024 ColorMix Forecast across their four main chromatic families: blues & greens, reds & purples, deep & dark tones, and delicate tints. We’ll also highlight some of the popular colors that were presented, some Arizona Tile products that complement them, and which spaces the tile and color combinations will work well in.
Blues & Greens
The blues and greens color palette revolves around the connection between blues and greens, colors that share organic and calming-yet-invigorating hues. It consists of gray-blues and bluish-greens – and everything in between. One of the top colors in this palette is the Sherwin-Williams Color of the Year, Upward. This is a breezy blueish color that gives off a subtle shady vibe that is welcoming and relaxing.
Dunn-Edwards’ Color of the Year, Skipping Stones, is another great option from the blues and greens palette. Uplifting and natural, Skipping Stones is blue-gray with hazel undertones that makes it one of the more neutral colors in this palette.

Our collection of tile and slabs offers a multitude of blue and green-hued color options across our products. The popular Blue Galaxy Granite offers a swirling blend of blues and greens for a kitchen countertop or a statement shower wall. Our Ijen Blue Satin Quartzite (pictured above) shifts from deep blues through the color spectrum into oranges and creams and whites, all within a single slab. And for a more contemporary feel, our playful Tapestri Denim Blend Hex porcelain tile offers a mixture of muted blues with a tactile look perfect for interior walls in your home or business space.

Reds and Purples
The palette of reds and purples includes a group of warm, saturated hues that bring pops of cheerful color, paired with understated neutrals. It features ravishing reds and purples that add a dynamic display to any room, along with warmer tones of crimson, lighter purples, soft blush, and beige. Balanced by the growing popularity of natural clay and baked pigments. The combination of neutrals and expressive colors in this palette will be popular for interior color trends in 2024, especially bedrooms and home offices.
Two stunning colors in this palette are Pantone’s Rooibos Tea, a full-bodied red imbued with rich, woody notes, and Pantone’s Pastel Lilac, a soft and powdery lavender hue.

Arizona Tile’s Belvedere Granite (pictured above) pairs beautifully with the darker reds and purples in this palette, including Pantone’s Rooibos Tea. And our Fantasy Brown Marble tile (pictured at top) is a lovely complement to the neutral and lighter hues in this palette, such as Pantone’s Pastel Lilac. For a more vibrant pop of red, our Gioia Rosso is also an excellent choice to steal one’s gaze as they enter a room.

Deeps & Darks
The deep and dark color palette consists of a range of dramatic hues that introduce powerful contrast and a bit of mystery. These richer, deeper colors will be used to design cozy spaces for unwinding as well as entertaining, such as media rooms and dining areas. Colors from this palette will also be seen in kitchen color trends for 2024.
Behr Paints’ Color of the Year, Cracked Pepper, is a gorgeous, deep color in this palette. If you’re not sure about going dark, this color will not disappoint as it is chic and goes well with a variety of décor schemes.
Another phenomenal color in this palette is Sherwin Williams’ Roycroft Bronze Green, a rich green that’s alluring without being overpowering. Arizona Tile’s Meteor Shower Satin granite (pictured above) is a lovely option that provides a darker color and dramatic natural stone movement.

Delicate Tints
The delicate tints palette includes both airy, barely there tints and soft whites that combine to deliver upscale, minimalist style. With the gentlest hint of color (or no color!) the options in this palette bring a peaceful sophistication to spaces that invite relaxation and mental clarity, such as bedrooms, bathrooms, and studio spaces for artists and writers.
Sherwin Williams’ Snowbound and Heron Plume are two choices that will bring lightness and create a relaxing vibe in any room. For options with a bit of delicate color, Silvermist and Sand Dollar are two delightful colors.
